Front desk staff:

Yes. All data can be bi-directionally synchronized between the iPad and athenaNet so patients update their records in real-time.

Is Epion Digital Check-in secure and compliant?

Epion Health is HIPAA compliant, meaning all patient data is secure. The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) and its regulations has had a significant impact on the health care industry. HIPAA applies to “covered entities” and, indirectly, to their “business associates.” We have spent a considerable amount of time and resources to develop programs and systems to ensure compliance with HIPAA standards and requirements.

Are older patients able to easily use Epion Digital Check-in?

Absolutely. Our software is designed to be easy to use, with large text and buttons. We continually run usability tests across age groups, and welcome feedback from your staff and patients. One of our practice’s average patient age is 55 years old, and their patients use Epion Digital Check-in every day.
